Thirty-five years ago or so, Tommy — a local dealer in antiques and other things of value — held a soiree at his North Bergen cliffside retreat. Something struck me that night concerning Tommy’s partner, the nephew of a Hudson County mayor, and so I like just rear view mirrored the scene. A little later, an organized crime figure crashed the party; he was arrested and convicted of the abduction and murder of Tommy’s partner.
